Localized Snel to five languages (German, French, Dutch, Spanish and Simplified Chinese) and added a complication for easy access. Since there's only very basic strings in here I used TranslateKit which uses DeepL

How does AI translation work?
Unlike traditional services that translate strings in isolation, our AI understands your app's context, purpose, and terminology. We batch your strings together and provide the AI with crucial information about your app, ensuring accurate translations that feel natural in each language. There's no API setup needed – just select your languages and let TranslateKit handle everything. Note that we constantly evaluate and fine-tune our prompts to make translations as accurate as possible.
How does AI proofreading work?
Our AI proofreading uses an advanced model specifically tuned for app localization. It checks for context accuracy, UI-appropriate language, consistent terminology, regional variants, length constraints, culture-fit, language-specific rules, formality & gender and much more! Proofreading is optional but recommended for critical markets. Proofread strings are marked as verified, and you can run multiple passes if needed.
What's included in each plan?
All plans include our core features: AI translations, AI proofreading, unlimited projects, TranslateKit SDK, and our smart Translation Editor. The difference is in the monthly AI tokens: Basic ($0.99) gives 50 tokens monthly – perfect for small apps. Pro ($2.99) gives 200 tokens monthly – our most popular plan. Ultra ($9.99) gives 750 tokens monthly – best value for larger apps.
How many tokens do I need?
As a rough guide: Small apps (200 strings) need ~8 tokens per language for translation, ~18 for proofreading. Larger apps (500 strings) need ~20 tokens per language for translation, ~45 for proofreading. Pro tip: Start with our Basic plan and purchase additional tokens as needed.
Can I still use DeepL/Google/Microsoft?
Yes! While our AI translations offer superior accuracy and context awareness, we've kept our Classic Mode for those who prefer traditional services. You can still use your existing API keys with DeepL, Google, or Microsoft for translations.
